Copyright & DMCA Policy

Emerge respects the intellectual property rights of creators, and we expect our users to do the same. This policy outlines how we handle claims of copyright infringement in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar international regulations.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content hosted on Emerge infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to us including the following:

  1. Your full name and contact information (email address and/or mailing address).
     

  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
     

  3. The URL(s) or clear location on Emerge where the infringing content appears.
     

  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
     

  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
     

  6. Your electronic or physical signature.

We may share your notice with the user who uploaded the allegedly infringing material so they can respond or resolve the issue.

Counter-Notice

If you believe content you uploaded was wrongly removed due to a copyright complaint, you may file a counter-notice with the following information:

  1. Your name and contact details.
     

  2. The location of the material before it was removed.
     

  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed in error.
     

  4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of a relevant court (e.g., your local federal court if in the U.S.).
     

  5. Your signature.
     

We will review the counter-notice and, if legally appropriate, may restore the content unless the original complainant initiates legal action.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Accounts that are subject to repeated or egregious copyright complaints may be suspended or permanently removed at our discretion.
